Notification Channels

Configure where Seenty sends alerts about monitors, incidents, SSL expirations, and security findings.

Notification Channels

Notification channels are the destinations where Seenty delivers alerts. When a monitor goes down, an incident is triggered, an SSL certificate is approaching expiration, or a new security finding is detected, Seenty sends notifications through your configured channels.

How channels work

Each notification channel represents a specific destination -- a Slack workspace, a Discord server, an email address, a phone number, or a webhook endpoint. You can configure as many channels as you need and assign them to:

  • Monitors -- Receive alerts when a specific monitor detects downtime or recovery.
  • Escalation policies -- Chain channels into multi-step alert sequences with delays between steps.
  • Personal notification rules -- Configure your own preferred channels and timing for on-call alerts.

Setting up a channel

Go to Integrations > Notification Channels in the sidebar.

Add a new channel

Click Add Channel and select the channel type you want to configure (e.g., Slack, Discord, Email).

Configure the channel

Follow the setup instructions specific to your chosen channel type. Most channels require a webhook URL, bot token, or similar credential.

Test the channel

After saving, use the Test button to send a test notification. This confirms that Seenty can reach the channel and that the message format looks correct.

Assign to monitors or policies

Once tested, assign the channel to your monitors, escalation policies, or notification rules.
